Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for a Diploma Assessor Tutor to join our Academy Team. This role is ideally suited to someone who has experience providing assessments to a level 3 diploma or NVQ equivalent and be familiar with the course content of the Diploma level 3, Children residential childcare.

A Wilderness Way provides a unique approach to residential care, health, and education for children who have experienced adverse childhood trauma. Our Diploma Assessor Tutors work predominantly with our Residential Support Workers to assess and support their completion of their Level 3 Children’s and Young People Workforce Diploma for Residential Childcare.

**Your role and responsibilities as Diploma Assessor,**
- You will assess and support learners’ portfolios to ensure they are on track and to standard for their Level 3 Diploma
- You will be responsible for a caseload of learners, visiting them in their workplace or remotely to carry out observations while they are on shift and completing relevant documentation.
- You will work with the Operational Learning Manager to build and improve the award.
- Meet assessor KPIs in terms of timely assessment/visits, Quality paperwork and general administration.
- You will be based at Head Office, just outside Penrith. However, you will travel throughout Cumbria, Northumberland and Durham to visit our care teams regularly.

**What we offer you,**
- Overall Expected Earnings: £28,000 to £31,000 per annum, depending upon experience and qualifications.
- Hours of Work: You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Flexibility is required due to the nature of the role

**Key qualities that we look for,**
- A relevant assessing qualification (D32/33, A1 Assessor TAQA or CAVA award) and achievement of the Quality Assurance qualification (D34, V1, TAQA)
- A recognised Teaching qualification (PTLLS, Award in Education and Training)
- Experience of collating data and drawing insights and conclusions from trend analysis
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
