**THE ROLE**
***
Step into a stylish new era with boohoo, we are a brand on a mission, redefining what we stand for. Our 'Fashion First' approach allows us to be there for our customers, we want them to look and feel great, to have confidence, and feel empowered. Get ready to experience unparalleled style for every occasion. If you're innovative, fast paced, and ready to make a difference, join us in our mission to disrupt the global marketplace and shape the future of fashion

We are looking for a apparel Designer to work closely with our creative team to design part of the fast fashion apparel collection. As a Designer at boohoo you'll be responsible for designing and developing ranges in line with current trends, customer profiles and brand direction, continually looking outside the box for new designs. You will lead the development on your product area and shape a commercial and trend driven range with design, buyer and merch counterparts, presenting back for sign off to management.

This role is very creative and will require someone who is organised. You must be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of the brand/customer profile with a strong commercial eye.

**YOUR TEAM**

When people think of our department, it’s always about our creativity. Nothing compares to seeing customers purchase and wear our creations, or when our designs feature in campaigns and on the feed of our favourite influencer.

For us, it’s all about bringing trends to life and keeping our finger on the pulse of a design - from concept and specifications through to production. We design and influence everything boohoo buys, so we’re a solid part of our brands identity. We drive new fabrics, graphics, and print techniques, not forgetting highlighting and forecasting colours and styles. Behind the scenes, we’re busy creating mood boards and stories that will become our ranges. We don’t just design; we plan, develop and sample too, working closely with the wider team. We love teamwork and creating a buzz of activity and ideas wherever we go. We know there’s no limit to what we can achieve.

**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**
- Deliver balanced and extensive design research e. g. using directional shopping, fabric fairs, catwalk awareness to create unique product lines.
- Monitor and evaluate the commercial potential of designs within own area and can articulate key shapes and volume lines.
- Responsible for creation of concept board/packs for design presentations.
- Create technical packs consistent for suppliers to translate. Wide technical knowledge utilised to support technical team to create best fit garments.
- Liaising with peers within the Buying and Merchandising teams to fully support the overall delivery of a profitable and commercial range.
- Travel to our supplier bases for seasonal sourcing of key fabric and new opportunities and ideas.
- Take ownership of categories, ensuring your product is available for all look books, campaigns and ecommerce shoots. Flexibility to travel locally between our London and Manchester offices and offshore when required.

**WORKING WITH US**

To succeed here, you have to love working at pace. It’s relentless, but we love it. Change is a certainty - you need to adapt and be agile. We want you to challenge the status quo, innovate and be open to trying new things. We’re always pushing boundaries. We empower our people, giving them freedom and autonomy to learn and grow in their roles. We’re passionate, agile, creative and one team.

**MORE ABOUT YOU**
- Proven experience within a previous design role (multi-product womenswear preferred).
- Experience in managing and developing a team to be the best versions of themselves.
- Excellent with CAD systems, such as Photoshop and Illustrator
- For fashion, we never follow trends; we set them. Are you a trend leader?
- Comfortable working at pace. Agility is something you pride yourself on
- Highly trend driven with a good understanding of commercial appeal
- Fast thinking and adaptable in highly demanding situations
- Must be highly self-motivated with strong organisational skills and time management.
- Ability to meet deadlines is essential
- Relevant experience in similar role and excellent Competitor Knowledge

**INTERVIEW PROCESS**

If we think you could be a good fit for the role, you will be asked to have an informal conversation with one of our Talent Partners.

If successful from this meeting, you will then be asked to meet with the Line Manager at our Dale Street HQ. They will go through your experience in more detail and find out what value you could bring to the team.

Most of our processes are 2 stage’s and you may be required to meet Senior Leadership or present a task/project back to the Line Manager.

**WHY JOIN US**

We’ve set our sights on dominating the global e-commerce fashion market, and because we are a collective of 5 brands, there are plenty of opportunities to grow your career. Our mission is to create
