Companionship Driver

We are hiring Would ideally suit, a retired person from the medical/emergency services industries.

Would you like to help people who can’t always help themselves?

Driving Miss Daisy Lichfield are looking for flexible, helpful individuals who are looking for satisfaction in their role. This is a zero hours contract, joining a small team you will drive clients on journeys (prebooked), definitely having fun along the way. Journeys will vary from local shopping trips, hospital and medical appointments to trips further afield such as helping with drop offs and collections to/from holiday destinations.
- You will need to qualify as a Private Hire vehicle driver, through the council (funded)
- You will need a full, clean driving licence
- Enhanced DBS check
- First aid trained
- Become a Dementia Friend
- Wheelchair onboard trained - most of our clients are in wheelchairs (manual and power)

The successful applicant will need:

- to have a caring and compassionate nature
- to be enthusiastic but also be patient
- to have a good sense of humour with a "can do" attitude.
- to be fluent in English both verbal and written

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
