Artis HR are delighted to bring to the market a Strategic Workforce Planning & Organisation Design Lead opportunity.

The client is based in Cardiff and the role entails being in their global centre for one to two days a week. The role is initially offered on a 9-month FTC.

The Strategic Workforce Planning & Organisation Design Lead will become part of the Employee Experience team. The focus will be on on advancing global talent management initiatives to further strategic goals. You'll be leading on selected projects, which includes Strategic Workforce Planning, Organisation Design and Performance Management.

Partnering with stakeholders (which will be predominantly be: People Managers, the Senior Leadership Team, the Exec's, and the Strategy department). Together, you'll identify gaps and improvements within the people model, not just looking one-year ahead, but also building a roadmap of what the five-year strategy looks and feels like.

This is a superb role for someone with experience in managing and leading organisation design and strategic or operational workforce planning activities.

Key Accountabilities

The Talent Management Business Partner will advise, support, and consult with the Executive Team, HR Leadership Team, Senior Leadership Team, HR colleagues and Managers.

Strategic Workforce Planning
- Partner with relevant internal stakeholders to assess the existing workforce planning process, identify gaps and improvement opportunities to help better align the workforce plans to the strategy and annual/five-year plans.
- Lead and develop a comprehensive workforce planning model.
- Develop comprehensive tools, templates and/or guiding materials to implement the model and related workforce strategies such as recruitment, succession planning, learning and development, organisation design etc.
- Provide the necessary leadership and support to prepare and equip the HR team to pilot the new model in the next planning cycle.
- Develop a roadmap to recommend future improvement initiatives so we can continue maximising the value of workforce planning and drive effective workforce decisions.
- Cultivate and manage relationships across the HR community, key stakeholders, and senior leaders.

Organisation Design
- Lead the development and implementation of an organisation design framework globally.
- Develop necessary guiding materials and consult with HR LT and other necessary stakeholders.
- Support and provide advice in the area of Organisation Design as a Subject Matter Expert.

Performance Management
- Provide strategic advice and guidance on the current approach to performance management to ensure its robust and can be consistently applied across all regions
- Review the performance management policies and processes to identify gaps and process improvements.
- Lead communication & training initiatives aimed to educate line managers and employees.
- Build the continuous performance management toolkit that focuses on developing employees.
- Review, identify and collaborate with the HR Shared Services team to implement enhancements to the HR Information System.
- Experience in a HR specialist role responsible for global implementation.
- Prior experience in managing and leading organisation design and strategic or operational workforce planning activities.
- Possess Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or ideally a Master of HRM.
- CIPD level 5 or 7.
- Knowledge in general of HR practices, project management, policy development, process engineering, performance management design and evaluations.
- Ability to build HR strategy in the Talent Management space and communicate effectively.
- Experience with the following tools is ideal: HR information systems, talent management systems, survey platforms, Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated agility and comfortable working in a dynamic group or team environment.
- Demonstrated strengths required in motivating and influencing users of Talent Management protocols and tools.
- Excellent negotiating, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with high degree of confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills with cultural awareness.
- Desirable: Certified Workforce Planning Professional,
