Hargate Healthcare are recruiting a Registered Manager for a children's home in Wythenshawe, Manchester. The service is home to 4 young people aged 7-17 years with learning disabilities.
**The Role of Registered Manager**
As the Registered Manager, you will be supported by two Deputy Managers, a Therapist, and a PBS Practitioner to ensure the needs of the young people are safely met.
This includes developing their independence and life skills, implementing evidence-based interventions, and using PBS plans to reduce behaviours of concern and improve quality of life. To ensure each young person's experience is filled with fun, laughter, friendship,and discovery.
**You will achieve this by**:

- Working with the Residential Operations Manager to maintain the highest standards of therapeutic childcare
- Hold Ofsted registration and ensure the service meets Ofsted standards
- Manage recruiting and staffing of a residential childcare team
- Manage staff rotas and build and develop the staff team
- Maintain high levels of consultation with young people about the quality of care they receive
- Working in partnership with professionals, carers, and parents to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people

**Registered Manager Requirements**:

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent)
- Level 3 in Children's and Young People's Workforce (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving license
- At least 1 years' team management experience and 2 years' experience of residential services
- Able to build and maintain trust and rapport with children and staff
- To be a positive role model
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
