At **Madeleine's Kitchen** we recreate recipes from home and all over the world using locally sourced ingredients to sell in our Delicatessen located in the beautiful South Downs National Park market town of Petersfield.

In our Bakehouse in Steep Marsh we have a kitchen team producing the delicious fresh Deli Counter produce for our Delicatessen. We are now recruiting for a permanent full time qualified Production Chef to manage and be part of our friendly progressive team working Monday to Friday day time shifts.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Preparing food in line with Bakehouse preparation requirements and recipes.
- Managing kitchen food production deadlines and quantities.
- Contributing to new recipe development and recording.
- Managing food stock levels and wastage through careful supervision of food preparation methods.
- Preparing daily cooking schedules and implementing ingredient/stock ordering accordingly.
- Manage, inspire, develop and motivate the kitchen team.

**Experience and Skills needed**:

- Experience of managing a team in a busy commercial kitchen.
- Previous experience of working with a wide range of commodities in the preparation, cooking and presentation of dishes.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills.
- Food Hygiene Certificate Level 2 essential or gained within role.
- A relevant Culinary Skills, Professional Chef or Production Chef qualification at Level 2 or relevant experience.
- Excel when working as part of a team.
- Be punctual and reliable with a professional attitude.
- Have the ability to multitask whilst working under pressure.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
