**Full Time Equivalent Salary**: £21,968.00 to £23,194.00 per annum

**Actual Pro Rata Salary**:£5,490.86 to £5,797.29 per annum

**Hours**: 10 hours per week, 42 weeks per year

**Start Date**: As soon as possible

St Mary's Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust are seeking to appoint a new Caretaker to join our community.

We are looking for a Caretaker to be responsible for and take care of our school so that we can continue to take a pride in our environment. The working pattern for this position is Mon
- Fri 7am to 9am.

**Your responsibilities**:

- A desire to do a good job and improve the environment ensuring it is safe and fit for purpose
- Ensuring that the school environment is maintained to a good standard to include Health and Safety legislation
- Maintaining appropriate paperwork in relation to the role
- Reporting all issues to do with the site to the Estates Manager
- Responsibility for the security of the building

**We are looking for someone who**:

- is hard working, self-motivated and pro-active
- can use their own initiative and be versatile, flexible and solve problems
- has a good work ethic and time management skills
- is able to build positive relationships with all; staff, pupils and parents
- is robust and can deal with high expectations and demands being placed on them
- possesses skills in D.I.Y, routine maintenance, refurbishment and minor repairs
- is passionate about maintaining and developing the premises of our school so we can be proud of it
