Community Sustainability Services are a vibrant and diverse local charity, based in Sunderland, supporting a wide range of people and groups through sustainable services.
Over the years we have evolved from a small furniture store with only a few volunteers to a thriving charity dedicated to ‘supporting vulnerable people’ through projects designed and adapted to provide sustainability to the lives of some of the most vulnerable people in society.

We are currently looking for a “Furniture Driver/Labourer” to join our team
- Will hold a current UK driving licence
- Manual handling experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Will have a “can do” attitude.
- Can pick up systems/procedures quickly
- Can pass a DBS check
- Can follow instructions

Key Duties:

- Delivering and collecting furniture from households
- Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy and presentable
- To represent CSS throughout your working day by being polite, courteous and respectful
- Maintain a good working vehicle and report any defects

The labouring part of the job will involve gardening work - this will include grass cutting, hedge and bush trimming, power washing paths, bagging rubbish and even clearing snow from paths in the winter. Training will be given on machines.

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £9.18-£9.50 per hour

- 8 hour shift
