**Group Work Facilitator**

Hours: 1 day per week (7 hours)

**Salary**: £28,436 - £31,726 (pro-rata, based on FTE of 37 hours per week)

Location: Across Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire

Holidays: 26 days plus statutory holidays per annum to be calculated pro rata to hours worked

Reports to: Counsellor Lead

Start date: 1st April, 2024

Length: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2025 (with possibility of extension dependent on funding)

We are recruiting a Group Work Facilitator to work with survivors of rape, sexual assault and childhood sexual abuse.

The Group Work Facilitator will have an understanding of the nature and impact of sexual violence, be able to undertake assessments, have experience or knowledge of and/or be willing to undertake training in delivering psychosocial education, self-care and wellbeing strategies/activities and peer group support, all underpinned by trauma informed and strengths base approaches.

The role is for 1 day per week to help develop and co-facilitate psychosocial education groups/workshops and peer group support for adult survivors of sexual abuse. A sensitive approach is needed, to avoid crisis and build confidence and resilience that will enable people to engage with the counselling process.

This is a new role and the Group Work Facilitator will bring an innovative approach to developing content and co-facilitating new groups and workshops across Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire, as well as helping to develop and co-facilitate peer support groups. All groups and workshops will include clients’ voices via feedback and evaluation to ensure they best meet clients’ needs.

The role will require some evening and Saturday working.
