We are currently looking for an experienced Technical Co-ordinator here at Mathiesons. This is a full time permanent position looking to start as soon as possible.
- **Technical Compliance** - implement& embed policies and procedures which incorporate all aspects of Food safety legislation & retailer code of practice and guidelines
- **Technical Documentation** - create & implement documentation to support company policies and procedures as defined by the Quality Management System. Owner of the internal QAS & one page spec system
- **Food Safety** - active as a HACCP team member. Be the lead in delivering CCP training
- **Traceability** - responsible for the end to end business process. Implement & operate a robust system identifying tasks, ownership & documentation required for mínimal impact to the business. Ensure testing protocols are in place at the required frequency.
- **Raw Material Quality** - control & maintenance of the quality of incoming goods through CofA’s & CofC’s or on site monitoring as required
- **Internal Audit** - conduct internal audits as required by the site audit schedule. Log all actions, report & escalate any major or critical non-conformances. Drive close out of non-conformances
- **Lab Testing** - carry out sampling as per schedule e.g. swabbing, micro, allergens, nutritional’s. Log samples onto lab portal & parcel up samples for lab collection in line with arranged collection times
- **Complaints Monitoring & Reduction** - investigate any serious / emerging consumer & customer complaints. Log all complaints & generate responses driving reduction & action plans
- **Incidents** - conduct, record & report internal incident investigations including products holds
- **Factory Documentation** - provide & maintain all quality & process documentation. Provide access to paperwork required, file & store completed paperwork in an auditable & retrievable manner.
- **Technical Training** - be the lead in delivering compliance training in conjunction with the site training co-ordinator e.g. weight control, traceability control, allergen control
- **Pest Management** - responsible for the management & maintenance of the pest management contract. Ensure visits are carried out to schedule, all documentation is up to date, reviews are carried out at the required frequency & any actions are closed out in a timely manner
- **Process / Product launch support** - work alongside the process technologist to ensure controls, standards & documents are in place for new product launches or existing product developments
- **Customer visits & audits** - support the wider Technical team with customer visits & audits by retrieving & presenting associated paperwork
- **Team Player** - Able to work and communicate effectively with all internal departments to ensure everyone works cohesively to achieve business objectives. Contributes on behalf of the technical department and ensures all information is available from and for every department.

Must be a team player & a good communicator with a passion for food safety & quality.
