**Overview of the role**:
As leader of the exciting and varied JCB Service inventory team, you will be responsible for motivating and energising the team to support JCB customers globally, by managing the inbound supply chain across a suite of suppliers. This includes driving availability by reviewing risk of run-out, issuing schedules to suppliers, tackling overdue concerns, and developing suppliers to better support aftermarket requirements. It’s vital that you can plan, prioritise, and manage supplier escalations effectively.

JCB aim to provide the industry’s finest customer support and you will be required to ensure that the team maintains regular, high-quality communication with the global dealer network. A sense of urgency and a determination to achieve the best possible outcomes for our customers, will be pivotal to your success in the role.

Operational transformation will drive the success of JCB Service, and as Senior Planner you must be a key change agent in continuous improvement. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities for the team to work more effectively and efficiently and incorporating new technologies into the ways of working.

SAP drives our planning activity, and the Senior Planner must have, or be able to quickly develop, a good grasp of SAP. Syncron is our forecasting software, and experience using this would be beneficial though not essential.

The inventory team are measured on targets related to inventory levels, stock-turn, risk of run-out, and arrears. The Senior Planner must be confident in driving these KPIs with the team.

**Your Responsibilities as Senior Planner**:

- Managing a team of at least 7 direct reports
- Change agent for operational transformation.
- Delivering planning and scheduling of forecast requirements from suppliers
- Ensuring maintenance of part data quality on forecasting, and lead-times
- Driving urgent response time to internal Techweb system requirements
- Management of inventory levels & stock-turn to required targets.
- Proactive expediting of parts for customer shortages and vehicle off road requirements (VOR)
- Responding to internal & external escalations on parts deliveries
- Managing supplier relationships across the team
- Working with cross-functional teams to deliver the best solution for the customer.

**About you**:

- Preferable previous experience in a supply chain or planning environment.
- Highly motivated, and capable of working efficiently and autonomously.
- Experience of driving KPIs
- Strong relationship management skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong people leadership skills
- Experience of working with cross-functional teams
- SAP experience preferred.
