Commercial Assistant

This is a new position due to internal promotion and growth of our business. A great opportunity for an experienced and talented administrator to work predominately with our commercial team. Using your organisation and administrative skills and experience you will be supporting the team in creating new quotation’s to be sent to our clients and managing the flow of communications coming in and out of the business. Your days will not be the same and you will be asked to help with a range of administrative tasks. You will need to be able to think both strategically and creatively to succeed liaising with colleagues and our clients to ensure services are delivered to the highest possible standard.
Job Overview:
This role is to provide comprehensive and effective administration support to the businesses’ operational functions which support all aspects of the business, in a fast-paced dynamic working environment. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and actively supporting key initiatives across the business. Providing day to day support to the operations and business support teams.
**Duties**:
- Work as part of the SES team promoting the business and maintaining the company’s reputation and standards.
- Tracking KPI’s on all quoting & tender activity to monitor team performance.
- Assist in the completion of tender documents, PQQ’s, ITT’s and any other documentation that requires completion on behalf of the business for bidding or compliance requirements.
- Provide daily support to the team with administrative tasks as and when required.
- Provide administrative support with contracts and guarantees where necessary.
- Provide support to the rest of the support and finance team, including adequate handover of the enquiries function of the business, particularly during days off and holidays.
- Assist in all business activity in reducing debtors.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of industry changes, best practice guidelines, legislation, and policy.
- Undertake such other work as may be required.
**Skills**:
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook
- High attention to detail along with excellent communication skills at all levels
- Pro-active and organised mindset with the ability to multi-task and prioritise busy workloads efficiently
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- A flexible, collaborative work style with a desire to succeed
