Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer to recruit a new role for a Senior Procurement Professional who'll take the ownership to define a new procurement strategy in line with the aspirations of the businesses growth plans.

Senior Procurement Manager - Head of Procurement level

The business continues to succeed and strengthen, delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-performance solutions with their global market presence.

This individual will also work closely across the leadership teams to align procurement processes, share best practices, and leverage negotiations with shared suppliers. This position will report directly into the Divisional Director for Site and Europe.

The key responsibilities of this role are to:

- Deliver sustainable bottom-line growth and contribution to Group cash targets via risk-managed sourcing of raw materials, packaging and services at lowest acquisition cost
- Be accountable for the documentation and roll-out of Group procurement policies in consultation with other regions
- Develop and implement regional procurement strategy
- Support site purchasing teams in their buying behaviour to add value to the overall service of the function
- Provide strategic direction, objective setting, coaching, motivation and encourage self-development of site-based purchasing managers and central direct reports
- Provide leadership of strongly collaborative and long-term strategic vendor relationships aimed at assurance of supply and delivery of sustainable cost savings
- Provide regular information, data, and expert opinion to direct the European commercial teams in their pricing and contracting decisions
- Anticipate the impact of external factors on supply chains and mitigate risk
- Lead negotiation of high value contracts

Your Experience:

- Significant experience in procurement working with a matrix structured procurement operation
- Proven CAPEX Procurement experience
- Proven procurement leadership qualities to define strategies and lead a team of people through change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to influence and effectively work and lead cross-functional, international teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proven experience in developing and implementing projects and new processes within a complex organisation
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills
- Ability to motivate teams to achieve stated targets, even in the absence of a direct reporting line to you
- Have passion, enthusiasm, optimistic working attitude, good team spirit, and be self-motivated
- This role would suit a Procurement Professional who has experience with strategy commodity and service management from Engineering, Automotive, Medical, Petrochemical, FMCG, Pharmaceutical, Chemicals, Scientific and Manufacturing
