London, United Kingdom National Trust Full time

Can you help us encourage Londoners to support our cause? We have an exciting opportunity to work across two very different National Trust properties as part of a close-knit team. We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Visitor Experience Officer to support the delivery of exceptional experiences for all our visitors and supporters.

This is an annualised role with a suggested working pattern of 4-5 days a week during the visitor season March to October, to include Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. The remaining hours will be worked on weekdays November-February.

**The salary advertised is inclusive of £4,465 Inner London Weighting allowance per annum.**

**Interviews for this role will be held on March 14th.**

What it's like to work here:You’ll be both part of a small but agile property team and part of a wider London portfolio team. Working with us will give you a valuable opportunity to build networks, consult and share practices with many regional colleagues.

Fenton House is a substantial 17th-century house with far-reaching views across the city, and home to world-class collections of decorative and fine art, amassed by a host of collectors.

By contrast, 2 Willow Road, also in Hampstead, is a 1930s modernist home, designed and lived in by Ernö Goldfinger and his family.

Working across both London sites presents a valuable opportunity to be closely involved in a range of exciting and forward-thinking initiatives.

What you'll be doing:As Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll support the delivery of exceptional customer service, interpretation and programming. Working alongside other members of the team, you’ll help develop engaging and meaningful experiences that welcome, move and inspire all our visitors.

You’ll love what you do and enjoy sharing your knowledge and passion with others. You may be encouraging visitors to take a closer look at a particular collection, supervising and supporting volunteers, checking presentation around the sites, or helping produce copy for our web pages.

You’ll be a visitor day duty manager on a rota with colleagues, opening and closing Fenton or 2 Willow Road and being on call to support volunteers as they welcome and guide visitors.

You’ll manage and support the volunteer visitor welcome team, working together to create outstanding experiences. You’ll be involved in rota organisation, briefings and supervision during the visitor day.
