**Job Summary**:
**Please note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours.**

**This position is temporary**

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, committed and flexible individual who will be responsible for delivering the day to day operations of The Gym within EDLC’s Leisure Centre. You will be required to undertake a range of duties within the gym including: gym inductions, consultations, personalised exercise programmes, small group gym activities, circuits, sales, monitoring the safety of gym users and ensuring that the facility is maintained to the required standard of cleanliness & repair.

Possession of a recognised Gym Instructors Qualification to REP’s Level 2 or equivalent is essential as is the ability to work well in a team and with the public. A Health & Fitness related qualification would be an advantage.

The post holder will be required to work outside normal hours, including evenings, weekends & public holidays.

PVG checks will apply.

**PVG / Disclosure Scotland**:
The following criteria applies to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential criteria

In specific circumstances the payment could be deducted in instalments from an employee’s wages following commencement of employment. Approval in such circumstances will be made by HR Services Lead.

Should an employee leave in advance of the payment being deducted, the full amount will be deducted from the employee’s final salary.
