Sewing Machinist

Salary/rate: potential to earn £29,000

Reputable contract furniture manufacturer in Lytham is looking for a self-motivated, Upholstery Sewing machinist to join their well-established team. Experience essential.

**Duties include**:

- To produce quality sewn items ready for upholstery
- Ensure safe use of machinery in the workplace
- Maintain workspace area in a clean and tidy manner
- Liaising with other departments
- Handling fabric and machinery with care
- Develop strong product knowledge
- Compliance with the company’s Health and Safety policy
- Compliance with the company’s Equal Opportunities policy
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Be methodical with excellent organisational skills
- Be able to work with the minimum of supervision
- Be enthusiastic with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Have a flexible approach
- Have the initiative to solve basic queries and make routine decisions

**Salary**: £22,880.00-£29,000.00 per year
