Cosmetic Formulation Assistant

As we aim to enhance our product lineup and maintain our reputation for quality, we seek a motivated Formulation Assistant to join our research and development team.
Role Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Ingredient Procurement**: Efficiently manage the sourcing and ordering of high-quality ingredients, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines.
- **Formulation Assistance**: Support the Chemist in the development of new skincare formulations, including weighing, mixing, and conducting preliminary stability tests.
- **Lab Organization**: Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment, ensuring that all materials and equipment are properly stored and ready for use.
- **Documentation**: Assist in the documentation of formulation processes, including recording detailed notes on ingredient quantities, batch formulations, and test results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- **Product Testing Support**: Aid in the execution of product testing procedures, such as pH testing, viscosity checks, and sensory evaluations, to ensure product quality and consistency.
- **Research Support**: Conduct literature reviews and research on new ingredients, technologies, and industry trends to support innovation and improvement in product development.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines in the lab, including the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and formulation ingredients.
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £11.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
