Accounts Assistant

Overview:
Reporting to the site Lead Accountant, an Accounts Assistant is required to support the effective, efficient and smooth running of the finance function.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collate, analyse and distribute daily production yields to appropriate parties.
- Check and adjust rework yields, liaising with rework team.
- Maintain most up to date prices from Commercial in Emydex.
- Providing ad-hoc yield reporting as and when requested by management.
- Maintaining customer rebate / commission records.
- Assisting with weekly and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Processing monthly journals.
- Tracking and recording fixed assets.
- Providing support and assistance in the preparation of the accounts.
- Managing petty cash.
- Completing Intrastat returns.
- Completing National Statistic returns.

Qualifications:
We require the Accounts Assistant to be fully flexible and inter-changeable and to learn and cover the other roles within the department to cover holidays etc. This will require establishing strong working relationships between the administration personnel. Other skills required include:

- 2 years minimum in a similar role.
- Flexibility to meet deadlines.
- Good team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- A good head for numbers.
- Proven ability to utilise Finance systems accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent level of Microsoft Office, including excel and word.
- Enthusiastic, motivated, self-driven and positive in nature.
