Job role
- To help set up the playroom for the day and to help tidy away at the end of the session.
- To act as a key worker to a group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring
each child’s needs are recognised and met.
- To liaise closely with parents/carers, informing them about the pre-school and its curriculum,
- exchanging information about children’s progress and encouraging parents’ involvement.
- To assist the Manager in planning using the new curriculum.
- To ensure that the welfare and safety of children is promoted with the setting and that any child protection concerns are always appropriately acted upon immediately.
- To help ensure that children attending the setting receive a balanced and healthy diet at snack time.
- To advise the Pre-School Manager of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of equipment, preserving confidentiality, as necessary.
To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
- To attend staff meetings, supervision meetings and appraisal meetings.
To attend in-service training courses and meetings as required.
- To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is learned as part of the job.
- To ensure that adequate records are kept and updated regularly.
- To promote the pre-school to current parents and potential customers.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week
**Salary**: £8.50-£11.50 per hour
