Financial Reporting Manager

**Our client is an international organisation, actively involved in International Trade & Development, based in Central London.**
The newly appointed manager of financial reporting and tax will have the ability to prepare monthly, quarterly, yearend financial, and management accounting reports, the annual budget, corporation tax returns and provide necessary advice on management reportsand business performance to trading and corporate departments.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting close process and procedure, notifying the schedule, preparing, assisting, and checking journals and reconciliations as required.
- Manage SAP accounting system and Business Warehouse reporting system, with support from IT department and third-party support company.
- Manage the preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts and reports with information and explanations provided by trading divisions.
- Prepare quarterly reporting consolidation packs to parent company within limited timescales.
- Prepare/review reports for trading or corporate divisions.
- Provide accounting and tax support as to correct accounting or tax treatment for new and continuing trading transactions.
- Assist with the annual budget preparation process, preparing budget templates, liaising with trading and corporate departments, collecting budget data and preparing a consolidated company budget.
- Liaise, plan and prepare for annual audit of consolidated reporting pack and annual financial statements, assisting auditors for completion of audit process
- Prepare annual financial statements with assistance and advice from auditors.
- Liaise with HMRC and tax advisors, plan and prepare for UK corporation tax return, prepare corporation tax return information, corporation tax payments, transfer pricing documentation and SAO documentation.
- Deal with ad hoc issues and projects as they may arise.
Key Results Areas:
- Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual multi tasks of accounting and tax areas in timely manner within tight reporting deadlines
- Liaise with auditors, provide information and explanations on GL accounts movement coordinate with trading and corporate divisions to ensure the audit proceeds smoothly.
- Liaise with trading and corporate departments, coordinate annual budget preparation and analysis, report on budget to management.
**REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with tight and fixed reporting deadlines.
- Professional accounting qualification with post qualification practical experience
- Knowledge of UK/IFRS accounting standards and UK corporation tax
- Strong Excel skills and excellent Power Point skills
- Excellent reporting and analysing skills.
- Knowledge of SAP or other large multi-currency accounting system desirable
- Knowledge of Business Warehousing reporting system desirable
- Working knowledge of international accounting standards desirable
- Exposure to forward foreign exchange or commodity contracts desirable
- Good understanding of general internal control desirable
- Experience in a trading organisation or similar company desirable
