**About The Role**:
An Independent blinds business based in Camberwell (SE5 0EG), They are growing their team and looking for a Junior/Entry level Blinds Fitter to join them. Although desirable, previous window curtain and blind fitting experience is not essential as full training will be given, but a previous customer-facing role, good knowledge of working with power and hand tools, an eye for detail, and the ability to take accurate measurements are essential.

While using a mobile app daily planner and with support from back office you would attend various sites (mostly domestic, few commercial) to install, repair and survey a large variety of window blinds/curtains installations within Greater London.

**Previous Working background**

We would like to hear from you if you’ve worked previously in any of these industries/roles or similar:

- Kitchen/ bespoke furniture fitting
- Onsite installer of various electrical or Air Conditioning installations
- various construction trades/ sites, reading drawings and schedules
- Carpentry / soft furnishing / construction trades

**Main duties** (most important, activities which repeat every day/week):

- On-site installation of bespoke blinds and curtains (manual & motorised)
- On-site repairs and maintenance of existing blinds and curtains
- On-site survey and measurements for new projects/installations

**Occasional duties** (less frequent, but needed):

- Erecting and using mobile towers for high rise access
- Find solutions for on-site repairs where parts are obsolete (installation altering)
- Assist clients with fabrics and advice on surveys

**Must have skills**(absolutely essential):

- Customer relation management
- Confident in using power and hand tools, hardware fixings,
- Taking accurate measurements, visualising future products in current environment
- Ability to quickly understand how various mechanisms work
- Attention to details - working with bespoke products (fabrics, hardware, motors)
- Good time management
- Ability to take initiative, find and share best practices

**Nice to have skills**(optional, but would command a higher salary):

- Previous exposure to window blinds/curtains repairs or fitting
- Fast learner of new systems, products and the associated brands
- Problem-solving approach when dealing with repairs

**Career growth**:

- Training on window blinds repairs and fitting
- Training on use of various mechanical assembly and tools
- Further developing customer facing/communication skills
- Ability to learn additional skills - stock ordering, product presentation and selling
- On-site shadowing visits with experienced colleagues (first month)

**Extra info**:

- Flexible Working Hours: 8 to 5pm, 8 30 to 5 30pm, or 9 to 6pm, with 1 hour lunch break
- Clean driving licence, or max of 3 points
