HBCL Cold stores is a highly respected supplier of food safe paneling systems and cold stores, to the food manufacturing, storage and distribution industries.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Fitters to join our respected cold stores business based in Bradford. As a fitter, you will join our team operating from our Bradford depot. This busy role will primarily be to deliver and install cold store panels and service a wide range of our clients nationwide.

As a Fitter, you will be committed, enthusiastic and reliable and have a strong understanding of construction and experience of general hand power tools. Experience in cold stores installation and a company workshop environment is desirable, as full training can be given. Ability to perform under pressure and good problem-solving skills are vital. Excellent communication skills, a respect for all health and safety policies as well as a fantastic work ethic is also essential.

There will be a fair amount of travelling to customer sites so a full UK driving licence is necessary. As our work is nationwide, you will often be expected to work away from home (accommodation will be arranged by the company).

Duties of the fitter will include:

- Servicing of all cold stores on any given site.
- Panel installation: Attending sites nationwide carrying out the installation of insulated enclosures to strict timescales and standards as part of a team.
- Responsible for the driving of company vehicles.
- Repairs, modifications and maintenance of site cold stores.
- Safely loading and unloading equipment and materials in their designated areas.
- Carrying out a risk assessment before commencing any task and be fully compliant with the companies H&S policies and procedures.
- Completing site area inspections, health and safety checks and housekeeping.
- Good working knowledge of cold stores or the willingness to learn.
- Very flexible with hours and take part in training and development enthusiastically.
- Carrying out workshop duties, including loading and unloading vehicles.
