Smsts Supervisor

**We are seeking a Senior Site Manager to work on a fit out project development in the Edinburgh area. You must be willing to travel to Edinburgh for the position.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring a high standard of quality of the work
- Ensuring high levels of productivity of the team
- Collaborating with the Project Lead to monitor project progress and ensure that deadlines are met
- Planning / Organisation of the team
- Supervising day to day operations of the team and carry out morning briefings where daily targets are set
- Carrying out site surveys and inspections
- Coordinating and maintaining regular communication with consultants, sub-contractors, planners, quantity surveyors and other stakeholders involved in the project.
- Managing the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including the labour force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
- Preparing and presenting site inductions, safety briefings and toolbox talks as per the company policy
- Ensuring construction health and safety compliance
- Ensuring all site rules are adhered to by all personnel on site
- Organising and overseeing external inspections, such as with a health and safety inspector, building inspector, etc
- Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness at sites
- Working with a flexible approach
- Co-ordinating supply and delivery of materials, plant and equipment
- Attending site management meetings

**Requirements**:

- Excellent knowledge of the construction industry including current building methods and regulations
- Valid CSCS Card, SMSTS Training or Equivalent Construction Site Health and Safety Training
- NVQ at minimum Level 6/ bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years previous experience
- Strong communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Strong decision-making ability
- Ability to motivate others
- Good teamwork and people skills
- Attention to details
- Good understanding of drawings and design
- Ability to manage multiple construction sites
- Be able to work under pressure
- Strong leadership skills
- Good IT skills (competent on MS software, such as: Outlook, Teams, etc.)

Licence/Certification:

- CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
- SMSTS Certificate (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
