Cockwells is a growing company; globally respected in the marine industry. We build luxury motor launches, sailing yachts and superyacht tenders. We are equally at home with modern, technologically advanced vessels as with classic boatbuilding.

We now require full-time **Laminators **to come and join our team working 07.00am-17.30pm Monday-Thursday (40 hours per week).

**Job description**

The role of **Laminator **includes the following:

- Working from drawings and construction instructions to lay-up polyester components in an accurate manner within time and cost budget.
- Prepare moulds for lay-up without supervision
- Gelcoat a prepped mould
- Record work completed according to our Quality control processes
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Work well within a team and be happy to occasionally do work and tasks outside of normal duties for the benefit of the company and its operations

**Essential skills**
- Polishing components
- Gelling skills
- Prepping moulds
- Snagging worked components
- Have the ability to read and understand drawings
- Positive attuite, with a desire to pursue perfection
- Ability to manage your time efficiently
- Able to work well within a team
- Produce work in a clean and productive manner

**Desirable skills**
- Experience in epoxy or carbon fibre
- Mould construction and repair
- Set up moulds, adding frame work as per drawings
- Gelcoat repairs

**Location**

The usual place of work for this role is Falmouth either at Ponsharden - The Southwest Shipyard or former Vospers site.

**Salary**

A competitive and negotiable hourly rate of £11.50 to £16.50, dependent on experience. Overtime may be available at 1.5 times hourly rate.
