**The Role**:
6 - 9 month fixed term contract role for a Qualified Actuary to support Pensions Dashboard Project.
This role is to support M&G's work in relation to current regulatory projects, including the new the Government-sponsored Pensions Dashboard, along with the development of new SMPI calculations, using your technical experience to design technical solutions.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- This role will require the holder to work closely with project teams from across M&G to design technical solutions in support of specific regulatory change activity.
- The individual needs to be able to review detailed calculations and translate to a diverse range of individuals, e.g., IT, project managers, actuaries
- In many cases, the role will be as part of a project team, a greater level of independent work will be required.
- Carry out work to an agreed plan, producing deliverables in an agreed timescale
- Good level of interpersonal and networking skills, to develop effective working relationships with team colleagues and internal/external business contacts.
- Draft and maintain up-to-date, appropriate documentation and checklists for any processes that are implemented.
- Key Deliverables:

- Support through analysis to determine where calculations are required for Products/Scenarios
- Review of Pension Dashboard Programme standards to determine calculations for ERI and Accrued Calculations
- Development of Calculation Specifications
- Review of calculations testing to ensure accuracy of solution

**Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Requirements for an actuary with experience in UK Life Insurance environment with understanding of SMPI/FCA Calculations. Knowledge of Pensions Dashboard Programme an advantage
- The role requires ability to understand Actuarial calculations based documents and respond to straightforward technical queries.
- Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data handling and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.
- Strong team player, with ability to work in a team or on a project single handed
