Deputy Town Clerk

To support the Town Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer in the administration and governance of the Council's business.
To attend and clerk the monthly Planning Committee meeting, prepare agendas, supporting papers and minutes and inform the Planning Authority of the Council's agreed responses via the portal.
Responsibility for all aspects of the Town Council's communications i.e. press releases and social media.
To undertake reception and phone duties and respond to general enquiries.
To undertake various regular and occasional administrative duties delegated by the Clerk.
To attend civic events as required and assist with any help needed in connection to them.
To deputise for the Clerk as required, normally to cover leave, but also when absent from the office attending training courses or meetings.
To attend working group meetings as required by the Council.
To attend training courses on the work and role of the Deputy Clerk as required by the Council i.e. WALC webinars and CiLCA.
To assist in the revision of the Neighbourhood Plan by preparing paperwork, attending meetings and working with advisors (a future consideration).
**Salary**: From £27,344.00 per year
