Join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant
Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs?
We're seeking a dedicated individual to work within the SEND unit of a large secondary school in Solihull.
Your job will be to support a range of key stage 3 and 4 pupils, who have a variety of needs, including but not limited to ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties and SEMH.
You will need to be a positive and resilient person with experience of supporting SEND students.
This role is full time for the summer term, starting on Monday 8th April.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in implementing individual education plans tailored to students with special needs
- Provide support to students during lessons, ensuring they understand tasks and remain engaged
- Prepare and organise learning materials and resources to support teaching activities for students with special needs
- Work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement effective support strategies
- Adapt to varying needs and situations, supporting different students and adjusting approaches as required.
- Readily undertake additional school duties as needed.
**Requirements**:
- A minimum of GCSE’s in Mathematics and English
- Strong Communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly
- Experience of working with and supporting SEN children and young people
- Organisation and Time Management skills
- An distinguished understanding and knowledge of safeguarding.
- The flexibility to travel and work across multiple work sites and you will have the skills to adapt to different settings.
- Previous experience in a school setting
- Confidence and passion to pursue a career in an educational setting.
- Have the ability to effectively manage behaviour using positive strategies and supportive techniques.
