**Young Adult Part Time Support Worker/Driver**

**Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour plus 5.6 weeks paid annual leave**

**Working hours - 7 hours per week.**

If you think you have the above attributes, this job, which is based in Kilmarnock, could be perfect opportunity for you. We require an experienced support worker to support a young woman, this is to enable her to live her best life at home and in the community.

Initially the role will be working in the young persons home, getting to know them and their family. Gradually supporting them in the community as a trusting relationship builds.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
You may be asked to, prepare light meals and snacks, and do activities with them.

You will support the young person with activities, planning and delivering activities that will meaningfully occupy them.

You will assist with all aspects of personal care.

You will provide support with trips (e.g. to the park, local shops, day outs as required) once a relationship is established.

You will support bed time routines, ensuring teeth are brushed, face and hands washed and with entertaining the young person.

You may be asked to accompany the young person to appointments, outings and activities when asked by the main care giver.

Two up to date Reference contacts are required one of which must be from a present or previous employer. In addition, a new PVG enhanced disclosure will be required prior to appointment (disclosure cost to be met by the employer).

Probationary Period attached, 6 months to this post. During this period, either party can end the employment by giving the other one weeks’ notice.
