**About the team**:
The Commercial department within OSB Group comprises our Capital Markets function, our InterBay Asset Finance business and our Heritable Development Finance business. As a **Risk and Controls Analyst** in the Commercial team you will support the delivery of first line testing and quality assurance across all our key controls, flagging up areas of potential concern and providing guidance and expertise to control ownersto deliver improvements to control design and operation. The role will have a particular focus on the InterBay Asset Finance function, based in Fleet, Hampshire, but the role can be based from our Fleet or Wolverhampton offices, with some travel between offices.

**What you will be doing**:

- As a **Risk and Controls Analyst**_you will play a part in the ongoing design and delivery of data-driven metrics to monitor control effectiveness on an ongoing basis and provide visibility to management of the control landscape.

Your responsibilities will include
- Engaging with control owners to understand controls, developing test scripts and carrying out testing of the key controls across the department
- Ensuring testing is carried out to a high standard and to agreed timeframes.
- Looking for control improvement opportunities and promote a culture of control awareness by setting clear expectations on what good controls should look like
- Using data to derive new insights into the control environment for management
- Implementing regular data monitoring and maintain a dynamic set of monitoring metrics across the control suite.
- Assisting in production of monthly MI packs and dashboards and collect commentary
- Identifying patterns or trends and crafting clear recommendations to implement risk mitigation actions

**In return for your commitment**:
We offer a base salary dependent on experience of from £45,000 and a competitive benefits package

- Demonstrable skills in testing and assessing internal controls, with experience or knowledge of 1st line control testing, audit, operational risk or other non-financial risk management
- Strong Excel and/or VBA skills for enhanced analysis
- A good knowledge of knowledge of Asset Finance, Project Finance, Capital Markets, Securitisations, or Balance Sheet Management
- A good understanding of risk modelling processes
