**Full Time - Youth & Community Worker**

**£22,245 per annum**

**Role **Purpose**

The purpose of the role is to:

- create opportunities - through youth work & alternative education, including volunteering and work engagement/readiness; and
- develop learning - through Learning Plus alternative education, youth work training; and
- nourish our community: through active participation in community life, and events

The role is for 37.5 hours per week with flexibility of working hours required to meet demand. Agreed working times will be negotiable. Holidays are 30 days a year inclusive of all bank/public holidays. **Role **Responsibilities**
- Engaging hard-to-reach young people aged 8-25 in a programme of youth work and community activities.
- Leading and supporting a diverse team of volunteers, and young workers to deliver Cre8 projects, to ensure the best possible service delivery.
- Supporting the Youth & Social Enterprise Manager in the operational delivery to agreed budgets, timescales and outputs, including deputising for the Youth & Social Enterprise Manager when needed.
- Maintaining behaviour boundaries with young people, ensuring all Cre8 activities are welcoming and safe, and excluding young people from projects if necessary, and carrying out restorative justice interventions when required.
- Organising, planning and delivery of practical work across our buildings and gardens and the local community.
- Safeguarding: Adhering to the Cre8 Safeguarding Policy and ensuring high standards of practice are maintained throughout delivery.
- Health & Safety: Managing Health and safety within the working environment, managing risk, developing risk assessments, administering first aid when required and key holding.
- The effective use of resources: Making sure that resources in terms of time, materials and equipment is always used for the benefit of young people. Purchasing as necessary, and within financial procedures.
- Welcoming: Making sure that Cre8 is a welcoming place for young people and for anybody who visits the organisation.
- Training: Take and provide opportunities for training and development where required.
- Team meetings: Attending and contributing to team meetings, including making sure you are adequately prepared for meetings.
- Discipline: Taking part in disciplinary and restorative justice meetings and procedures when asked to do so.
- Equality and Diversity: Promoting equality and diversity and making sure Cre8 is an inclusive and supportive place to be.
