**The Opportunity**

The Materials Engineer will manage the material supply pipeline in line with MRP and ensure the IPT/LOB are aware of any material issues that will affect shop floor output. Diligently manage and maintain the supplier and project internal JAP’s and ensure the material acquisition team are aware of any potential changes to PO delivery.

**What you will do**

As the Materials Engineer you will attend and support meetings in line with the demand/supply/capacity model and present 30-60-90 day report at LOB supply review. Create, expedite and report on all internal JAP actions and be the voice into the IPT to ensure timely closure.

**You will also**:

- Attend monthly local Contract Status Reviews (CSR’s) and present material risks/updates via the CSR material report.
- Develop appropriate relationships and act as the interface with Buyer and LOB IPT‘s to understand material issues and close them out in line with MRP requirements.
- Proactively interface with IPT and Planning Manager to mitigate production material supply risks (rebalancing supply/re planning where necessary)
- Promote a culture of Best Practice in Material Supply sharing knowledge within the function and within the wider business.
- Support management of obsolete material and proposed LTB’s to ensure seamless material supply transition in line with MRP requirements.
- Attend and support the MRB/FRB process, ensuring all external material supply information is flowed and is a conduit into execution team.
- Attend Change Control Board (CCB) and take ownership of supply actions including supplier sheet responses and impact to delivery schedule and impact to BOM/build schedule.
- Support Material Acquisition team with supplier recovery plans and communicate all relevant updates to the IPT/LOB.

- Good organisational skills, demonstrated through ability to plan and prioritise.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good personal, interpersonal, organisational and time management skills.
- Experience of material planning, supply and control
- Good understanding of fundamentals of MRP, push-pull scheduling & SAP reporting.
- Relevant process knowledge - for example SAP, Material, MRP, NPI, inventory control.
- Risk Management.
