Sportscool Preston & Fylde is a small friendly business that is growing quickly in reputation across Preston and Fylde. We are initially looking for a dancer to work sessions for us due to an increase of business that our current dancer cannot cover. There is a opportunity for this to become more permanent as we win more dance work. Also there are training opportunities to upskill in things like yoga.

SportsCool Preston & Fylde is seeking enthusiastic and versatile dance coaches. If you have a passion for dance and enjoy working with young people of all skill levels, this is an exciting opportunity for you. As a Dance Coach, you will have the chance to introduce and develop fundamental skills across dance and gymnastics but also develop your understanding of other non-traditional sports. SportsCool is the UK’s leading sports and dance coaching organisation. With over 15 years of experience and an innovative approach to sports and dance coaching we have been able to sustain a motivated team delivering outstanding coaching sessions, working with over 35,000 children in over 150 schools each week. You will benefit from the support of an experienced team, with backgrounds in coaching and education, to support you with the next phase of your career development.
- Deliver engaging and age-appropriate coaching sessions in yoga, gymnastics and dance.
- Have the ability to make every young person feel 10 feet tall.
- Be able inspire all young people.
- Teach and reinforce fundamental skills, techniques, and strategies in each dance and gymnastics, catering to the needs and abilities of individual learners.
- Plan and organise practise sessions, drills, and mini-games that focus on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Assess young peoples’ progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their performance.
- Create a positive and inclusive environment where young people feel motivated, supported, and encouraged to participate in sports.
- Collaborate with schools to deliver curriculum sessions or before school, after school, and lunch sessions.
- Work with schools’ behaviour systems to ensure all students can participate fully.
- Ensure the safety, safeguarding and well-being of all young people during training sessions.
- Work collaboratively with schools to deliver excellent customer service.

To be considered for this role you should have:

- Previous experience as a dance/gymnastics coach or performer, with a strong foundation in one of these disciplines (desirable)
- Knowledge of fundamental skills development, with the ability to adapt coaching methods accordingly.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with young people, parents, and staff members.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and inspiring young people of different ages and skill levels.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with diverse groups of young people and adjust coaching approaches accordingly.
- Relevant coaching certifications and qualifications.
- First Aid
- Enhanced DBS check (preferred) / ability to pass Enhanced DBS check (essential)
- Full driving licence and vehicle / ability to travel to settings with Preston, Chorley, Leyland, Longridge, Grimsargh, Chipping, Kirkham, Warton and some areas of Fylde Coast depending on your location.

Due to the size of our organisation we are able to offer a variety of contracts. You will benefit from industry leading training and be supported to gain additional coaching qualifications.

**Job Type**: Freelance

Pay: From £15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 12 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
