**Job Purpose**:

- Provide comprehensive legal oversight and guidance across various domains within the DHL Express operations in the UK and globally. This involves managing legal affairs, compliance, and sponsorship initiatives, ensuring adherence to legal standards, and promoting the company's mission and values while supporting its commercial objectives.
- Overseeing complex, high-profile projects and transactions, negotiating agreements, and implementing effective legal strategies to uphold DHL's reputation and brand globally.
- Managing the legal debt recovery team and carrying out compliance training for the UK board and senior global managers, thereby ensuring the organization's adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

**Your key tasks**:

- Lead legal support for Express UK&I, GMNC, GFPS, and Corporate Sponsorship globally, ensuring adherence to Group Policies and Procedures.
- Draft, negotiate, and manage complex, cross-jurisdictional projects and transactions, including major sponsorship contracts and global commercial agreements.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, government officials, customers, and suppliers, while actively participating in negotiations.
- Implement best-in-class legal processes and procedures using innovative DPDHL Legal Services tools, driving efficiency and tailored business guidance.
- Stay updated on legislative changes, ESG developments, and industry standards, contributing to ethical decision-making and effective budget management.

**Your profile**:

- Comprehensive understanding of Sponsorship contracts and related legal intricacies to facilitate successful project completion while safeguarding and promoting the business.
- Excellent grasp of contract law in various jurisdictions, coupled with a strong command of post and parcel law, including relevant international conventions.
- Fluent English skills to effectively navigate complex legal matters and facilitate clear communication.
- Specialized knowledge in parcel-specific legal considerations and a strong comprehension of the associated legal landscape.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with the capacity to exercise sound business judgment.
- A proven capability to offer innovative and adaptable legal solutions within a fast-paced business environment.
- Geographical experience, particularly in the UK and Ireland, and global Sponsorship experience is highly desirable.
