Checkout Assistant

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join us at Nisa Linwood. In this role as Checkout Assistant, you’ll be focused on customer service and operating the tills in a fast-paced environment. This role requires you to be enthusiastic and confident when speaking to customers and assisting them at the checkout.

Checkout Assistant - Customer Team Member
- Location: Linwood, Paisley_
- Pay: Starting at minimum wage and can increase with performance_

Contract: 16 - 20 hours

**Experience**:Customer-facing_ **experience is a must (min. 2 years)**_

Working pattern: Availability during school hours is preferred, after school hours, and weekends - to be discussed at interview.

**What you'll do as a Checkout Assistant**

There's lots involved and the pace is always fast, with different duties to take on through your shift. Here are some of the key tasks:

- Assist customers at checkout and with bagging
- providing friendly and enthusiastic customer service
- packing and presenting products behind the checkout area in a neat manner
- keeping the store well stocked, clean, checking expiry dates

**You'll need to show us**:

- a real passion for customer service
- great communication and listening skills
- the ability to work well in a team, and achieve team and individual goals
- an enthusiastic approach and willingness to support your colleagues when the store gets busier
- the flexibility to work a range of shifts to support others in the team

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-20 per week

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
To keep our staff safe, we have restricted the number of customers in store at one time and installed plastic shields behind the tills. We have also provided hand sanitise at the till.
