**Location**:Options include Glascoed, Portsmouth, Washington, Barrow, Scotstoun, Filton, or Frimley. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

**Salary**: circa £40,000 depending on experience

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Working with business stakeholders to understand our audiences and contribute to the development and delivery of effective media and external communications
- Implementing our communications strategies through the delivery of content across a range of traditional and emerging external channels to enhance the reputation of BAE Systems
- Evaluating the success of external communications channels and activities to tailor and maximise our impact
- Maintaining a broad understanding of our business to develop issues briefs, proactive messaging, news releases and lines to take
- Developing creative ideas for engagement activities and campaigns, including across thought leadership opportunities
- Building relationships with relevant media contacts and maintaining a sound understanding of the UK media landscape

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Strong communication, stakeholder management and media handling skills
- Excellent content creation, copywriting and creative communications planning ability
- Knowledge of the UK media landscape and experience generating positive media coverage
- Educated within a communications related discipline or considerable work experience in an appropriate role
