Invigilators

The College is looking to expand its pool of casual Invigilators to assist, when required, with examinations during assessment periods in the academic year (October/November, January and April to June).

As an invigilator you will assist the Exams Officer by handing out the exam papers, recording the start and finish times, completing the attendance register and collecting the papers in at the end of the exam, ensuring silence in the exam room. During the exam you will need to walk around the exam room, ensuring no student has any forbidden items and instructing students when they are permitted to leave the examination room, and escorting them to the toilet when requested. You may be asked to scribe for a student with disabilities or specific learning difficulties or to read to a student during the exam.

The rate of pay is currently £11.09 per hour. Invigilators may be invited to work either part or full days, according to the start and finish times of exams. As part of a pool, Invigilators will be given a fixed-term, zero hours contract for each of the assessment periods they are invited to work, which may not be every assessment period.
