Senior Barstaff

Job Summary:
We are looking for an Experienced Bar person - Live out position. Possibility of accommodation for a live in position.

The position is part-time at about 30 hours per week. You will be working in a community owned and managed pub, The Bell at Yarpole. Yarpole, Leominster. HR6 0BD.Duties:
Provide leadership and guidance to the pub team. This will include working with the committee who will oversee the business. Helping to manage volunteers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Leading a small team of bar or pub staff by example, pitching in to help with drink mixing or table service where necessary
- Ensuring that the front-of-house is fully staffed, particularly during peak times
- Meeting sales and profitability targets
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers
- Ensuring consistent, high quality beverages are served to customers
- Dealing with customer feedback and providing adequate solutions to customer complaints
- Monitoring inventory of beverages to ensure adequate stock
- Overseeing the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area and paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations
- Help manage the marketing, promotion, and communications of the business

Qualifications:
A Personal License for a licensed premises (BII, NVQ Level 2)

However, the most important quality is enthusiasm and passion to integrate in the local community and enjoy bringing the vision of what makes the Community Pub special to its customers.

Alongside this, anyone of the following qualifications would be an advantage:

- Basic food hygiene qualification at least NVQ Level 1
- An Award in Beer and Cellar Quality (BII ABCQ)
- Basic first aid
- Health and Safety training
- Fire Warden trained

You’ll need to build strong relationships with the elected Committee, Volunteers and community shareholders all of whom are enthusiastic and committed to the Pubs' success.

The Bell at Yarpole is a warm, friendly, community-owned free house and social hub, in the village of Yarpole, midway between the market towns of Ludlow and Leominster. The original pub is a 17th century building, with an attached Cider Barn containing the original mill and cider press, providing additional space. Yarpole is a popular destination for visitors including touring walkers and cyclists. There is an extensive outside garden area, totalling some ¾ of an acre which has potential for outside events. It is a thriving, bustling community pub, and a focal point of the village and the wider area.

**Experience**:

- customer Service: 2 years (preferred)
- Hospitality: 2 years (required)
- Bartending: 2 years (required)
