**Position Overview**:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our Exeter team as Support Worker and Shift Leader. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our service users to live independently, achieve their goals, and participate in community activities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide person-centred care and support to adults with autism and learning disabilities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Assist service users with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Encourage and facilitate participation in social, recreational, and vocational activities both within the home and in the community.
- Implement individual support plans and behaviour management strategies tailored to each service user’s needs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- When operating as a Shift Leader, you will supervise the rostered team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support in line with company policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance, and support that fosters a positive and inclusive working environment.
- Coordinate and allocate tasks, and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet the needs of service users.
- Act as a point of contact for service users, their families, and external professionals, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and sensitive manner.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working with adults with autism and learning disabilities who have complex care needs.
- A compassionate and patient approach with a genuine commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage priorities and delegate tasks (desirable)
- A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is advantageous.
