Warehouse Supervisor

Our client is looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to work out of their Blackpool site.

The company sells Aggregate materials online and the role will be to supervise operatives in the packaging of the product and the preparation of ensuring the product is read to be shipped to its end destination.

Hours of Work are Monday to Friday. 8am till 5pm. There will be a requirement to work some Saturdays. However, any work conducted on a Saturday will be paid at overtime rate which is time and a third.

**Role Responsibilities**

Manage and overview the daily/weekly/monthly and yearly maintenance checks of all machinery

Manage the holiday and absences of the production workforce

Managing overviewing the efficiency of the production team to ensure work is being done cost effectively.

Liaise with external agencies to recruit temporary staff and operationally keeping them efficient in peak periods.

Monitor and maintain quality standard throughout the shipping process.

Managing the supply of packaging supplies and raise orders for re-stocking when required.

Managing the loading and unloading of all transport HGV's or containers safety but within time demands.

Manage the stock storage space in the yard/buildings to a clean and tidy manner.

Manage and maintain efficient waste disposal recycling as much as possible.

Sign off timesheets each month and manage staff time keeping and punctuality.

Oversee supply of sundries supplies

To be eligible for the role previous experience as a supervisor is essential. You will need to demonstrate the ability to manage people.

You will need to be reliable, conscientious to others and you must be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

An FLT Counterbalance license is desirable and experience of operating an FLT Counterbalance unit would be an advantage.

You will need to have basic IT skills and Happy with WMS Software and Excel Spreadsheets.
