Yolk Recruitment are recruiting for a Manufacturing Controller to join our client on an initial 12 month deal from their major site in Stevenage.
**Position Overview**: We are currently seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Controller to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the efficient management of stores and inventory in a dynamic stores environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the loading, control, and monitoring of work packages within a manufacturing setting. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in organized and hands-on environments.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage stock control and storekeeping activities, including monitoring shelf life of items.
- Load manufacturing cells with required jobs, adhering to planned lead and cycle times to meet manufacturing schedules and delivery targets.
- Perform packing tasks, utilizing hand tools, and manage the receiving and issuing of tooling.
- Maintain accurate computer records, ensuring up-to-date data.
- Execute kitting activities to streamline production processes.
- Safely load and unload Lorries as needed.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience within a stores environment or manufacturing control is essential.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Flexibility to work diverse shift patterns as required.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure precision in tasks.
- Capability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Strong initiative and the ability to solve challenges autonomously.
- Adaptability to changing demands and tasks.
- Completion of manual handling and lifting & slinging training, including overhead crane operation.
- ESD training to ensure safe handling of sensitive equipment.
**Desirable Skills**:
- Proficiency in PC skills, including Excel.
- Possession of a valid fork lift truck license.
- Familiarity with Kanban and 2 bin systems.
- Experience using an Enterprise Planning System, such as SAP.
