At JCS we have a client focused and experienced team. We have 6 directors and senior managers and approximately 30 staff, most of whom either hold, or are training for, professional qualifications. We are not so large that clients can’t speak to someonefamiliar with their affairs and we are highly approachable. All directors in the firm are Chartered Accountants. We are registered to carry out audit work by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW). We are an approved training officefor the ICAEW.

**The role**:
We are looking for a new member of staff to assist with providing payroll services for over 100 of our clients. You will be working with an experienced full time member of our payroll staff using Earnie Iris payroll software.

The work involves processing payroll, communicating with clients and colleagues, providing information to HMRC and pension companies and dealing with issues arising.

There is also the opportunity to do some bookkeeping and accountancy work alongside the payroll work to make this into a fulltime role if you would like this.

You will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills, be able to manage your time effectively, be able to prioritise and be willing to be flexible when needed. You will have a can-do attitude, be courteous and willing to deliver the higheststandards of supports whilst promoting company values.

Previous knowledge and background experience of payroll work is beneficial. You should also have experience of using payroll software and doing HMRC uploads. We are able to provide on the job training to increase and deepen your payroll experience if necessary.**
**About you**:
You must have excellent organisational skills and are able to work on your own initiative, planning your own workload and prioritising tasks. We are looking for someone with high motivation, great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. You willbe passionate about your role and be a good team player.

You will be supporting the business with important communications so excellent standards of the English language are vital.

**Job Type**: Part-time or full-time
Part-time hours: 25 per week, start and finish time to be agreed. Full-time hours 37.5 hours per week starting at 9am.
