Guillotine Operator

Career Opportunities at Acorn Web Offset Ltd. We are looking to recruit a full time Guillotine/Folder Operator for immediate start to work alongside our established Press and Bindery Crews.

**Working Hours**: Average 39 hr week. 3 x 12-hour shifts for 3 weeks & 4 x12 hour shift for one week

**Shift Pattern Available**: TBC at the interview stage.

**Duties**:

- Responsible for operation of the guillotine/folding equipment and the product produced.
- Setting up, preparing, and loading raw materials onto machine
- Calculating requirements, understanding different sizes and dimensions to cut paper down to correct size
- High level of attention to detail and quality control
- Meet daily targets
- Operate the machines in a safe and controlled manner
- Maintain good housekeeping at all times
- Troubleshooting issues
- Conducting machinery checking daily
- Communicate any issues or concerns to the Bindery Team Leader
- Adhering to all Health & Safety regulations & Company Policies & Procedures

**Skills Required**:

- Must have previous experience of programming, setting & operating guillotine/folding machines
- Excellent communication verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail and quality control
- Strong organisational and time management skills with mechanical ability
- Work effectively & meet tight deadlines
- Pro-active approach to problem solving
- Strong work ethic and ability to work unsupervised
- Flexible with a can-do attitude
- Excellent timekeeping

**Advantageous**: Knowledge of Wohlenberg Guillotine, MBO Folders & Palamedes

**Salary**:£26,143 per annum

**Benefits**

20.5 days per year (based on 12hr day and includes BH) increasing to 22.5 days after 5 years full service∙
