We are now looking for an apprentice to join our Bicester office

**Role Responsibilities**
- The role of an Engineering Apprentice is to undertake project work as guided by other Engineers, taking delegated responsibility for the preparation of engineering designs for Mechanical or Electrical installations and systems, e.g., sizing of pipes for ventilation systems, sizing of cables for LV systems, etc.
- Delegated responsibility for the preparation of engineering designs for Mechanical or Electrical installations and systems
- Attend training as required to obtain relevant qualifications and meet the requirements of the apprenticeship programme
- Ability to translate the client requirements into workable design that complies with standards and regulations
- Carry out independent reading and research to support continued personal development and project-based learning
- Ensure that all document control requirements including basic Quality Assurance checks have been carried out before seeking internal approval of work prior to issue.
- Liaison with colleagues and external parties
- Carry out calculations using software programs and produce schedules from the results

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic working knowledge of CAD functionality
- Good level of IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office
- Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD functionality would be beneficial.
- Committed to long-term, part-time study with the aspiration to become a Chartered Engineer
