**Job summary**:
The Department for Growth, Housing and Environment is looking for enthusiastic and motivated construction professionals to join its team of building control surveyors. The role requires individuals with strong interpersonal skills as they are required to deal with a wide range of people. Detailed knowledge of the Jersey Building Bye-laws would be an advantage but not essential as specialist training will be given. Applicants must have practical experience of supervising building projects under construction and be qualified to degree level in construction management or equivalent. Ability and willingness to undertake further professional training to qualify as a professional member of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Chartered Institute of Building is desirable.
