As part of a new and exciting project, we are able to offer an opportunity to individuals who meet the job specification to join our team of Student Education Facilitators who are working across the Trust.

Applicants must have a keen interest in developing others, assisting staff in band 2-4 roles working in health care and those who support learners in practice.

The role is Essex wide which will require the successful applicant to work within clinical practice teams, supporting staff within the clinical environments, using mobile technology to widen participation in educational activities and with the ability to travel across trust sites when required. Also part of the role you will be working with staff at all levels from differing backgrounds internally and externally to the Trust.

The Associate Educator Role is designed to enhance the quality of the learning experience and positively contribute to the future development of our unregistered workforce and aid in individual’s personal development and career journey. You will work as a role model and support the development of staff in skill development to assist them in providing outstanding standards of care.

The successful applicants will work as part of the dynamic Workforce Education and Training Service to enhance the development and growth of our educational programs, support, and have a profile within the practice areas and across the organisation representing the education team.

The opportunity for secondment can be considered for this post with agreement from the individual’s service manager.

In addition to the above duties you will also be expected to perform the below key activities in line with your job role;
- Complete mandatory training in line with Trust policy and procedures
- To participate in the staff appraisal process and to undertake for any staff you manage
- To keep yourself updated on all matters relating to Trust policy
- To provide management supervision where appropriate

The post holder will help to champion and co-ordinate the development of the Band 2 -3 staff who are new to the Trust and to the care environment. This will include supporting the Student Education Facilitator Team in designing and coordinating the delivery of the Fundamental of Care Certificate (FCC) and other clinical educational programmes to support service situated learning opportunities linked to the requirement of Band 2- 3 roles.

The post holder will be able to prioritise duties with the support of the Lead SEF for care certificate and be accountable for their own actions and demonstrate initiative and ability to work autonomously with mínimal direct supervision, but must work within their level of competence.
