**Description**:
Are you a Technician looking for the next step in your career or love all things concrete but looking for a different career path? We’re seeking a Technical Supervisor to join our Ready-Mix Concrete Technical team based in our Borras Quarry covering our North Wales, Cheshire and Merseyside sites.

Primarily you’ll be supervising the day to day activity of our Technical team, ensuring everyone returns home safe and well each day and our compliance and quality standards are maintained.

You’ll enjoy being out and about visiting sites and offices to build relationships with our customers, price enquiries and win work. Working closely with our Sales and Operations teams, you’ll act as a technical expert in supporting the resolution of complaints and queries and offering recommendations for alternative products when needed.

You’ll also report and interpret test data from our online portal and produce reports of non-conforming material, ensuring corrective action is taken and root cause analysis is carried out. You’ll work as part of the wider team to optimise the use of materials; you’ll also have the opportunity to develop new products and concepts as we continue to grow and diversify.

**Additional Key Responsibilities include**:

- Interpretation of incoming specifications and meeting the required test rates.
- Supporting internal and external audits
- Writing quality reports
- Maintaining UKAS standards where appropriate
- Validation of results
- Operating the FPC control systems for all products, reporting issues and take appropriate action to maintain control or provide solutions/recommendations.
- Reporting and discuss internal material/product issues with the appropriate manager with a view to obtaining a satisfactory resolution

- Experience in a technical capacity for concrete, screeds, mortar and aggregates

It is essential that you have experience in a technical capacity for readymix concrete, which will include the use of quality management and FPC systems. You’ll be computer literate, with a good understanding of MS Office. You’ll have excellent communication skills with the ability to put forward strong, rational arguments, and are able to demonstrate a rational decision-making process whilst under pressure.

A full driving licence is essential for you to be considered for this role as you will be required to drive a company van.
