Our client, an award winning school in the heart of Yorkshire Dales, is looking for a full time **Chef** to run one of their popular kitchens. The school has been a pivotal part of Sedbergh town since 1525 and continues to thrive, making job security an absolute certainty.

They offer family friendly working hours, so this role is ideal for experienced Chefs who wants to take a step back from the demanding pressures and late nights of restaurant kitchens.

**Hours of work - two set shift patterns**:

- 6.30am - 3.30pm
- 10am - 7pm

The majority of their Chefs work no more than 8 weekend evenings per year. They ensure that all kitchen staff have a two week break across the Christmas period.

**About the Role**:
Our client's prestigious boarding houses are effectively mini hotels for pupils.

**As Chef you will**:

- Run your own kitchen, have the opportunity to plan your own menus and control your own budgets.
- Have the opportunity to design your own dishes and produce different and exciting food for students’ lunchtime and evening meals, as well as being creative with healthy snacks.
- Be responsible for any food related paperwork, handling deliveries and ensuring stock levels are correct.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
This role is suitable for either an existing Head or Sous Chef or an experienced Chef de Partie looking to head up their first kitchen.
