**About The Role**

As a Production Inventory Planner / Materials Buyer / Supply Chain Planner / Demand Planner you will be responsible for:

- Checking outstanding sales orders daily, identifying any new purchase/works orders.
- Responding to inquiries from the customer service team, these could include shipping inquiries, requests for expediting orders etc.
- Monitoring sales orders and the production schedule and checking stock levels to ensure inventory is available to meet production needs.
- Identifying and resolving any production or material constraints that could impact on customers’ orders.
- Liaising with internal or external suppliers to chase up any material shortages and missing orders.
- Inputting purchase orders into the system.
- Building solid relationships with internal and external suppliers to gain material availability and pricing.
- Updating the MRP system with anticipated delivery dates and material order acknowledgements.
- Organising internal material movements across my clients’ global facilities.
- Attending weekly virtual production meetings with their overseas manufacturing site.
- Expediting sales orders dependent on material availability.
- Uploading invoices and shipping details including the shipping method from the production sites to the PO on the system.
- Producing weekly update reports for customer service.
- Raising purchase orders based on future forecasts and customer demand.

**About You**

You **MUST** have proven experience within a manufacturing/production environment and possess a minimum of 1-2 years exposure within Production / Raw Materials / Supply Chain / Inventory Planning or affiliated.

It is essential you are a clear communicator, able to work under pressure, I.T. literate, methodical in your approach, and comfortable working within a project-based manufacturing environment.

Previous experience using SAP would be highly beneficial but not essential, as would prior experience operating in the engineering industry.
