We support a lady with a learning disability in Mencap’s shared house in Letchworth. She loves going out for a coffee and a bite to eat and would love somebody to share this experience with her.

She loves to go out and about in the local area, shopping, and reading magazines.

As well as sharing these interests you’d be supporting her social life by spending time together.

As a volunteer, you have the opportunity to make a real, meaningful impact on this lady’s life.

**When & where do I need to be available?**

***Weekly on any day of the week apart from Friday.**As a Mencap Visiting Volunteer you will be**:

- Friendly and approachable
- Reliable and patient
- Interested in others
- Accepting of others who might be different to yourself
- Willing to volunteer within guidelines and to take direction where necessary
- Good communication and listening skills

**Mencap are strongly encouraging all our colleagues to have the Covid-19 vaccine as a way to help protect each other and the people we support.
