**Post Title**: Order Picker & Packer

**Job Purpose**:
Packing, weighing, and labelling completed items for shipment or storage.

Following all company guidelines regarding packaging.

Handling inventory with care and attention to detail.

We are looking for a Packer to join our team to ensure products are shipped quickly and safely.

Packers must also be able to seal each container, use hand tools and adhesives to protect the package from harm during transportation and observe all company safety standards.

Ultimately, you will work in a fast-paced environment, and you will be responsible for the wellbeing and accuracy of items shipped to our customers

EvolveBG Customers

**Hours of Work**:
Hours as required; based on a 40 hours per week. Inclusion in out of hours rota as and when required

**Salary Grade and Salary Range of Post**:
TBC

**Base**:
Primarily base will be EvolveBG head office in Wigan; travel to customer sites within the UK as required.

**Disclosure Level**:
**Main / Core Duties**:
Pack, weigh and label completed items for shipment or storage.

Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure items arrive at their destination.

Identify and dispose of defective items before they are shipped to customers.

Properly use packaging materials.

Keep complete records of all materials that go through the warehouse.

**Operational Planning**:
To deliver support services effectively and efficiently.

**Service Provision**:
To work in line with Service Level Agreements delivering the requirements of EVOLVEBG, ensuring that targets are met.

Follow agreed processes and procedures for handling of stock.

Understand and clearly communicate.

**Personal Specification**:
Proven work experience as a Packer or similar role

Experience in warehouse packing or related field is preferred.

Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

Strong communication skills and desire to work with other team members.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

A very analytical mind, able to tackle a problem from different angles and make decisions quickly.

Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.

Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail.

Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Exceptional customer service orientation.

**Service Development**:
To continually seek to develop continuous service and make improvements.

Participate in IT planning activities.

**Staffing and Staffing Development**:
None

**Quality Assurance**:
To plan and organise EvolveBG Infrastructure effectively and efficiently.

To run routine and pre-planned maintenance on the infrastructure.

Carry out disaster recovery planning and testing on a regular basis.

To ensure strong security monitoring options are implemented within the scope of existing or approved products.

Security management reviews of EvolveBG and customers environments

**Management Information and Administration**:
Completion and filing of service tickets in the service desk system for self and team.

**Communications**:
Ensure that in all communications with service users that the values of the EVOLVEBG are demonstrated

**Marketing and Liaison**:
Develop, nurture, and maintain the positive image of EVOLVEBG.

Attend all functions and meetings necessary to support the delivery of the role, promoting the values of EVOLVEBG.

Actively promote the products and services of EVOLVEBG

**Management of Resources (Other than People)**:
Responsibility for the safe use and safe keeping of IT Infrastructure

Laptop, mobile telephone & Other electronic assets as appropriate to the role.

**Corporate Responsibility**:
To abide by and implement all policies and procedures of EVOLVEBG, including being aware of and responsible corporately and as an individual for Health and Safety policies and procedures

**Information Security**

To follow the requirements of the Information Security Management System as appropriate to this role function.

To continue personal development in the relevant area

To participate in the customer review process in line with problems and major incident reviews.
